I thrive…

where human-centered design, social impact & business meet.

A proud Haitian-American, born and raised in New York, I consider the world and wherever love resides my home.

I received my undergraduate degree from Duke University and both of my Masters degrees (MBA and MSI in Human Computer Interaction & Social Computing) from the University of Michigan.

I am motivated by the belief in every human’s right to dignity and self-determination. This ethic informs my work, my rest and my play.

“I had the immense privilege of working with Flo at CFY (now called PowerMyLearning). Flo's passion, creativity and energy are unmatched. She has a get-it-done style that encourages collaboration and co-creation. Whether as a manager or colleague, Flo cares about her teammates and works to mentor and develop others along the way. She is a superstar both in the office and out!”

I grow…

(some of) my own food. What a small seed can become with care will never cease to amaze me.

“Flo is the epitome of a human-centered design leader. She is one of the most empathetic people you’ll ever meet. Her gift for deep emotional understanding combined with her strengths for research, digesting data and motivating groups of people make her an amazing leader for change in any community she is a part of. Her charisma and ability to instantly connect with people is why she’s never a stranger in any room she enters. If you need a leader that can unify a team to align with a big vision and push past the status quo, look no further.”

“Flo is one of those rare individuals who finds a way to get things done, no matter what. She is smart, she hustles, and she does it all in a way that makes you want to be working at her side. She is a multi-disciplinary professional, skillfully weaving together design, business and social impact in her work, but her best quality is her great big heart.”

Stewart Thornhill, former manager & Executive Director of the Zell Lurie Institute, University of Michigan Ross School of Business

“I had the absolute best time working with Flo for several years when she worked as Northeast Regional Director at Girls Who Code. Flo always kept the students and teaching staffs needs at front of mind whenever implementing any strategies, while also finding ways to exceed the expectations of our many corporate partners. I could always trust that Flo’s decisions were rooted in what truly served the students and Girls Who Code community best. She was beloved by the students and teachers, and respected by our corporate partners. Flo is a natural leader with an incredibly warm, empathetic, and trustworthy demeanor. She was someone I could depend on, ask for advice, and a role model to me.”

Ashley Gavin, former colleague & Curriculum Director, Girls Who Code

“Flo began managing our team with more drive, preparation, and organization than I could have imagined. It quickly became clear that her experience managing projects and people in a user experience setting, supplemented by what appears to be a high-level of self-awareness, made her a great asset to our team and the organization as a whole. Flat out, I always felt like I could count on her for accurate answers to UX questions, and her warm personality and contemporary perspective were key components in fostering the approachability required for someone in such a role. Flo consistently exemplified great leadership by delegating appropriately, yet was willing and able to jump in and get her hands dirty for the sake of a deadline. This in tandem with her being such an efficacious communicator has inspired me to be better, and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to work with a person that seems to be the embodiment of many of my own personal and professional goals.”

Carrington May, former direct report & Web Developer, Alumni Association of the University of Michigan

“Flo is a multi-talented star! I have advised her on a social impact start-up she founded and ran for over three years and employed her for a research project. In both cases, she was incredibly smart, thoughtful, and entrepreneurial. She has remarkable empathy, which makes her both a keen elicitor of user needs and a delight to work with.”

As a manager, Flo leads by example, with empathy, and with candor. As a colleague, Flo sets a high bar and always surpasses it. And, it is her creativity and passion that fosters impact wherever she lives, works, and engages.”
